Donald Trump praises Bollywood in his speech, mentions ‘DDLJ’ and ‘Sholay’

US President Donald Trump is on a tour of India. After coming to India from America, Trump first went to Sabarmati Ashram. He then reached Motera Stadium, the world’s largest cricket stadium, built in Ahmedabad. During the Namaste Trump event held here, President Trump fiercely approached Bollywood.

“People enjoy watching Hindi movies and understanding Indian culture through them,” Trump said. Bollywood, considered a bastion of skill and creativity in this country, produces about 2000 films a year.

He said that people all over the world enjoy Bhangra, music and dance, romance and drama and great films like ‘DDLJ’ and ‘Sholay’. India has given big players like Sachin, Virat Kohli to the world, which people all over the world like.

Let me tell you that Trump had praised Ayushman Khurana’s film Shubh Mangal more careful on the gay topic a day before his India tour. Trump retweeted British activist Peter Tatchell’s tweet and wrote ‘Great’. On the President’s tweet, Peter had said, “This Trump’s tweet is not just a PR stunt, but the beginning of taking ALGBT issues seriously.”

Significantly, former US President Barack Obama also mentioned ‘DDLJ’ during his visit to India in 2015 and he also spoke a famous dialogue of Shah Rukh Khan ‘Senorita, in big countries ..’.
